I spoke to the builder and he told me an unknown fact that more people are killed by moose in Canada than bear. He also told me if you're going to build one of these rides you need to run him to water to slow him down before you mount him. Don't try to tie the ropes on first, always mount the moose and then tie the ropes on.

I'd be interested in knowing how you can tell when a moose is ready to be "mounted" and whether or not it makes a difference whether or not it's a cow or bull? And exactly how do you "mount" a moose? (carefully, I'm sure). I suspect it was during the winter months that this form of transportation was invented. And, of course, pretty far from civilization...
